As a marine biologist, my travels often revolve around the oceans, but I recently explored land life at Itzlinger Hof. This hotel strikes a decent balance between luxury and value. We enjoyed a warm room thanks to the extra heater, a thoughtful touch for us coming from the warm Bahamas! The hotel is conveniently located about 20 minutes from the old town, making it easy to explore the city, though a bus ride is quicker. The reception staff was particularly helpful, assisting with local directions and dining options. It felt chaotic as we watched other guests escalate their frustration. While we enjoyed a complimentary upgrade, it brought attention to the lack of organization. Access to good amenities was there, with clean rooms, free Wi-Fi, and on-site parking available—though limited. If you're looking for a base to rest without breaking the bank, Itzlinger Hof fulfills that role adequately.
